| DECEMBER CHROME |
Well we got out on the Sandy just before the big rains hit on Saturday.
Friday was a perfect day with warm air temps and dry weather for the most of the day.
We landed this nice Wild Hen on a Orange and Red Silvenator.
Good way to start the season, now just need to wait for the water to drop.
Hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

SANDY RIVER FLYFISHING REPORT
Well it has been tough to get any fish on the Sandy here lately, without much rain and low very clear water. Makes these fish tough to catch.
Even with those conditions we found a beautiful Big Wild fish last week.
This fish hammered a Black and Blue Marabou fly tied sparse for low water.
That is why I love winter fishing, YES ITS TOUGH BUT LOOK AT THE PAYOFF!
Pray for more rain!!!!
Thanks Marty Howard for the great photos.

COLD WEATHER FISHING
![]() |
| Tough to cast when the guides are locked up with ice. |
Was out on the Sandy River early last week in the frozen zone. Fishing was tough but we did at least
hook one fish. The water was probably 35 degrees in the morning.
The weather has changed now and hopefully the warmer weather will bring in some fresh fish.
If winter steelhead fishing was easy everyone would do it!!

Sandy River Flyfishing Report
Well its been a while since my last post been busy guiding the Sandy River.
We are having good success on the Sandy but having trouble landing fish.
Last week we finally landed a few for photos both beautiful Wild Hen's.
The Sandy's water levels have been very steady last week and looks good for this week.
The Best fly last week was a Black and Blue Tandem Tube
