SANDY RIVER SHOW

After a few months of waiting the flyfishing show we shot on the Sandy river in Febuary is going to air.
I have seen a few clips of the show and I thought it looked good.
It airs on the Sportsman Channel today at 1:00 pm eastern time.

High Water on the Deschutes

Stoneflies just above Maupin

This week started out with good fishing, catching some nice fish on the big dries.
Late on Monday we had a big thunder storm dump on us and eventually rained enough to bring the
river up where it is tough to find slow enough water to fish.
The Bugs are flying but the water needs to come down some before fishing gets better.

When it gets below 6,000 cfs it should go crazy!

Chubby getting smashed on the Deschutes

Its that time of year again, the Stonefly hatch on the Deschutes River will start soon!
The water is coming down finally to a great level.
Last year the HOT fly was Idylwilde's Chubby Chernoybl so make sure you have plenty before you head to the river.

Hopefully this dead 36" Wild Buck was able to spawn.

The winter steelhead run is finally coming to a end but there are still a few bright winters around.

The summer run is later this year with all the cold weather but this week we hooked are first summer

but it was tough to land jumping as soon as it was hooked.
